Serbian film "Treća sreća" from 1995
is the third sequel of serial “ Sekula and
his wives”. Since all of his wives left him
leaving their children behind, he decides to
visit his rich uncle and ask for help. The
uncle is planning to marry a former striper
who is chased by mobsters. As always Sekula
falls in love with this woman and then the
trouble starts.

The last waltz in Sarajevo refers to an
unstable situation in the Balkans between 1910 and
1914. The film describes the period before the First
World War, life of six assassins and the preparation
for the attack on Franz Ferdinand of Austria which
led directly to the war. The shots of the
assassination on June 28 1914 are authentic and are
now a part of historical archive.

The leading role in this drama about the war
between the Serbs and the Croats in Vukovar is
played by Rade Šerbedžija. The film is shot in
Belgrade, though certain scenes of city ruined by
the Yugoslav army are made in Vukovar.
Two friends, Pavle Trusić and Aleksa Veljačić,
the officers in Yugoslav army are in love with the
same woman, Trusić’s wife. They meet again after the
war. Trusić is a refugee from Vukovar and Vujačić is
a military judge. They meet under unfortunate
circumstances following the death of Pavle’s nine
year old daughter. However it is not clear who the
real father is.
